Youth Arrested for Poisoning Girlfriend in Nabarangpur – News12 Odisha

Bhubaneswar : Police have cracked the mysterious death case of a young woman in Kosagumuda. The deceased’s boyfriend, Dinesh Sarabu from Sunari Sahi, has been arrested for allegedly poisoning her, informed Additional SP Aditya Sen in a press meet on Monday.

The girl had gone out to relieve herself on Sunday evening and did not return. Her family later found her in a critical condition around 10:30 p.m. She was rushed to the local hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Preliminary investigation suggests she was forced to consume poison after suspected sexual assault. Acting swiftly, police launched a probe with the help of a scientific team and a dog squad.

The case has sparked outrage in the village, with locals demanding strict action against the accused. Police continue further investigation to gather detailed evidence.
