Toddler Rescued After Head Gets Stuck in Steel Pitcher – News12 Odisha

Bhubaneswar : In a dramatic incident in Korkunda village of Malkangiri district, a three-year-old boy was rescued today after his head got stuck inside a steel pitcher. Quick and coordinated action by fire service personnel ensured the child was safely freed without injury.

The incident occurred in the morning when Tanmaya, the son of Pradeep, was playing with a newly purchased steel pitcher that his father had brought home around 10:30 AM. While playing, Tanmaya inserted his head into the pitcher and soon became trapped. His distressed cries alerted his family, who tried unsuccessfully to remove the pitcher.

Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the family rushed the child to the Korkunda Fire Station. However, due to the absence of suitable cutting equipment, the case was referred to the Malkangiri Fire Station.

There, fire personnel used a heavy-duty cutter to carefully slice through the steel pitcher, successfully freeing the boy’s head without causing him any harm.

The quick and skilled response of the fire service team drew praise from the local community, who lauded their life-saving efforts and professionalism under pressure.
