Subhadra Yojana: Third Installment on August 9, Portal to Reopen for Fresh Applications – News12 Odisha

The Odisha government has announced that the third installment of the Subhadra Yojana will be disbursed on August 9, coinciding with Rakhi Purnima. On the same day, the Subhadra portal will reopen for fresh applications, enabling eligible women across the state to register for financial support.

Subhadra Yojana aims to empower women through direct cash transfers. However, nearly two lakh applications were recently rejected after verification revealed ineligibility—such as income tax return filings, vehicle ownership, or holding more than five acres of land.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida emphasized the government’s commitment to transparency. “Only genuine beneficiaries will receive the benefit. After the August 9 payment, a fresh survey will be launched to include previously excluded eligible applicants,” she said.

Door-to-door verification drives are planned to re-check eligibility, ensuring swift payments for verified women. The Subhadra portal ([https://subhadra.odisha.gov.in/](https://subhadra.odisha.gov.in/)) will be open to all women aged 21 and above.

Additionally, documents of over 93,000 women aged above 60 are being sent to the Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department for pension processing.
