Pakistani cricketer Haider Ali, 24, is under criminal investigation in England following a rape allegation reported to Greater Manchester Police on Monday. The incident allegedly occurred on July 23, 2025, in Manchester, and Ali has been arrested and released on bail while investigations continue.The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the investigation into Ali, who was in England as part of the Shaheens team’s 15-day tour that began on July 22. Accordingly, the PCB has decided to place Haider Ali under provisional suspension, effective immediately, pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation. Once the legal proceedings are concluded and all facts have been duly established, the PCB reserves the right to take appropriate action under its Code of Conduct, if necessary.“
