Odisha Holds Workshop on KPI Framework for Vision 2036 & 2047 – News12 Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government recently organised a state-level workshop on Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Development for “Viksit Odisha – Vision 2036 & 2047” at the State Convention Centre, Lok Seva Bhavan. The initiative marks a crucial step in operationalising the Vision Document unveiled by the Prime Minister.
Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja underlined that the Vision Document charts an ambitious course for Odisha to become a growth engine for India by 2047. He said a growth mindset, accountability, and robust monitoring will be key, adding that a high-frequency, data-driven Chief Minister’s Dashboard will track progress. The success of the Vision, he noted, will depend on the quality and relevance of KPIs.
The workshop featured a presentation on a four-tier KPI framework covering Outcomes, Outputs, Processes, and Sub-processes, alongside a demonstration of the KPI Development Toolkit. Each department will form a three-member team—including the Secretary, a Nodal Officer, and a Senior Officer—to provide leadership and technical inputs.
Senior officials stressed the need for departmental ownership, convergence, and collaboration in KPI development. The Strategic Support Unit (SSU) facilitated the discussion, focusing on integration of KPIs into the Chief Minister’s Dashboard for effective monitoring.
