Odisha Clears ₹869.8 Cr Renewable Energy Projects in Major Green Push – News12 Odisha



Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha has approved fresh renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of 178 MW, involving an investment of ₹869.8 crore. The decision was made during the 12th Single Window Committee (SWC) meeting chaired by Energy Department Principal Secretary Vishal Kumar Dev on July 24, 2025.

Among the approved projects are a 69.5 MW solar park by Prozeal Green Energy in Subarnapur, a 49.5 MW solar project by INOX Solar in Keonjhar, and a 10 MW solar project by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited in Jharsuguda. Additionally, NLC India Renewables will set up a wind power project in Nabarangpur.

These additions raise the total renewable energy capacity approved by the SWC to 1,844.86 MW, backed by cumulative investments of ₹12,599.79 crore. Officials noted that the projects would support Odisha’s Renewable Purchase Obligations, generate local jobs, and contribute to India’s climate goals.

The Energy Department reiterated its commitment to green investments and smooth clearances, reinforcing Odisha’s ambition to become a leading state in the clean energy transition.
