Odisha Approves ₹4,982.66 Cr Investments, Set to Create Nearly 12,000 Jobs – News12 Odisha



Bhubaneswar : The Odisha government has approved 23 new investment proposals worth ₹4,982.66 crore during the 138th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja. These projects, spread across 12 districts, are expected to generate 11,933 jobs, supporting the state’s vision of a Samrudha Odisha by 2036.

The approved projects cover sectors such as textiles, steel, food and beverages, chemicals, IT, tourism, and renewable energy. KPR Mill Limited’s ₹350 crore garment unit in Khordha will create 5,000 jobs alone, while Vidya Minerals will invest ₹620 crore in a steel plant in Sundargarh.

Tourism will see a boost with ₹479 crore worth of luxury projects in Puri, Kandhamal, and other districts. A ₹300 crore Drone Park by BonV Technology in Khordha will support aerospace innovation. Additionally, ₹950 crore has been earmarked for solar manufacturing by Luminous Power in Gopalpur.

The approvals reflect Odisha’s proactive policies and focus on regional development, employment, and sustainability, making it a rising investment destination in India.
