Odisha Appoints Six New Members to State Child Rights Commission – News12 Odisha



Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has appointed six new members to the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR), according to a notification issued by the Women & Child Development (WCD) Department on August 5, 2025.

The appointments, made under Sections 17(1), 17(2)(b), and 18 of the Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005, will be valid for a term of three years from the date of assumption of office or until the members reach the age of 60—whichever comes earlier.

The newly appointed members are:

* Sukeshi Oram – Kadagadia, Champua Sub-Division, Keonjhar
* Kalpana Lenka – Basanti Colony, Rourkela
* Chandana Das – Badagada Brit Colony, Bhubaneswar
* Kasturi Mishra – Bapuji Nagar, Bhubaneswar
* Manasmita Khuntia – Charampa Square, Bhadrak
* Sujata Nayak – Bomikhal, Bhubaneswar

The move is expected to boost the Commission’s capacity in safeguarding children’s rights and ensuring their welfare across Odisha.
