ICC Rankings: Ravindra Jadeja maintains top-ranking as Test all-rounder; Abhishek Sharma takes T20I batter top spot | Cricket News
Ben Stokes and Ravindra Jadeja have made significant advances in the ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings following their performances in the drawn fourth Test between England and India. Stokes has moved to third position among all-rounders while Jadeja has strengthened his lead at the top of the all-rounder rankings with 422 rating points.England captain Stokes climbed three positions to reach his highest all-rounder ranking since December 2022. His showing of 141 runs and six wickets, including a five-wicket haul in the first innings, propelled him eight places up to 34th among batters and to 42nd position among bowlers.
Jadeja’s unbeaten 107 runs in the second innings and four wickets have increased his rating points by 13, putting him 117 points ahead of Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan in the all-rounder rankings. He has also improved his position among batters, moving up five places to 29th, and among bowlers, advancing one spot to 14th.Joe Root has extended his lead in the batting rankings following his score of 150 at Old Trafford. He now leads second-placed Kane Williamson by 37 rating points. England openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley have also progressed, with Duckett rising five places to 10th and Crawley moving up two spots to 43rd.India’s Washington Sundar has made notable progress after his unbeaten 101 runs in the second innings. His partnership of 203 runs with Jadeja helped India secure a draw in the Test. Sundar has climbed eight places to reach 65th position in batting rankings and has also advanced eight positions to joint-13th among all-rounders.In the bowling rankings, Jofra Archer’s return to Test cricket has been marked by significant improvement. His three wickets for 73 runs has lifted him 38 places to 63rd position. Chris Woakes has moved up one place to 23rd after claiming three wickets in the match.

In T20I rankings, India’s Abhishek Sharma has claimed the top position among batters for the first time. This follows Travis Head’s departure from the number one spot after missing Australia’s series in the West Indies.The T20I rankings have seen several other changes. Australia’s Josh Inglis has moved up six places to ninth position after scoring 172 runs, including two half-centuries, in the West Indies series. Tim David and Cameron Green have achieved career-best rankings, with David climbing 12 places to 18th and Green advancing 64 places to 24th.The bowling rankings in T20I cricket remain largely unchanged at the top, with Jacob Duffy maintaining his position after helping New Zealand win the Zimbabwe International Tri-Series with six wickets. Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis has improved his ranking, moving up seven places to eighth position.Brandon King from the West Indies has also made progress in the T20I batting rankings, advancing nine places to share the 21st position. These changes reflect the ongoing developments in international cricket across both Test and T20I formats, with players’ performances consistently influencing their positions in the global rankings.
