Girl Dies After Falling from Bike Near Sitapadi in Kandhamal – News12 Odisha

Bhubaneswar : In a tragic incident in Odisha’s Kandhamal district, a young college girl died after reportedly falling from a motorcycle while traveling with her boyfriend on National Highway 59 near Sitapadi.
The deceased, identified as Sonali Pradhan from Ranipanga village under Kotagarh police limits, was a second-year BSc student. According to sources, Sonali was on her way home from college in Phulbani. After getting off a bus at Baliguda, she chose to continue her journey on her boyfriend’s bike.
However, near Sitapadi village, Sonali reportedly fell off the two-wheeler and suffered critical injuries. Locals helped rush her to the Baliguda Hospital, but doctors declared her brought dead.
The exact cause of her fall remains unclear, though it is suspected that the bike was being driven at high speed, leading to the accident. Police have detained her boyfriend for questioning and seized the motorcycle as part of the investigation.
After conducting the postmortem, authorities handed over the body to her grieving family. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the region, with locals mourning the untimely loss of the young student.
