Father-Daughter Duo Killed in Road Mishap on Cuttack-Paradip Highway – News12 Odisha
Bhubaneswar : In a tragic incident, a man and his nine-year-old daughter were killed after being run over by a truck on the Cuttack-Paradip highway in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district .
The deceased were identified as Raj Kishore Biswal and his daughter Lori Biswal from Sandhapur village under Kujang police limits.
The accident occurred near Kothiasahi Square when the duo was returning home from a private school in Paradip. Their motorcycle was hit by a Paradip-bound truck, killing both on the spot.
Following the accident, angry locals staged a road blockade demanding action against the driver and better road safety measures. The protest caused major traffic disruption on the busy highway.
Police reached the scene to pacify the crowd and begin an investigation. The driver reportedly fled the spot after the crash.
