CM Majhi Meets Union Minister Kumaraswamy to Boost Odisha’s Steel Sector – News12 Odisha



Bhubaneswar : Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met Union Steel and Heavy Industries Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy in New Delhi to discuss the strengthening of Odisha’s steel sector. The meeting focused on advancing strategic projects, including the expansion of the Rourkela Steel Plant and development of new iron ore mines to ensure consistent raw material supply.

Kumaraswamy assured full support from the Centre, emphasizing Odisha’s crucial role in India’s steel output and reaffirming commitment under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. He said Odisha has the potential to lead the steel revolution and become a global hub.

The leaders also discussed infrastructure, investments, and employment in the sector as part of the larger goal of achieving 300 MTPA steel production by 2030.

Earlier, CM Majhi met Union Ministers Amit Shah, Prahlad Joshi, and C.R. Paatil to discuss key developmental issues related to Odisha.
