‘If this continues, the situation will become frightening’
Reacting to the incident, Union minister and LJP (Ramvilas) chief Chirag Paswan said he feels “sad to support a government where crime has become uncontrolled”. “The way crime is happening in Bihar, the administration has totally bowed down in front of criminals,” Paswan said. “Yes, this incident deserves condemnation — but the real question is, why are such crimes repeatedly happening? There’s a series of crimes. If this continues, the situation will become frightening — in fact, it already has.” Paswan added that while some may see a conspiracy to defame the government ahead of elections, it remains the administration’s duty to maintain law and order. “I request the government to take timely steps,” he said.(The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
