Future stars in the making! Young fast bowlers train at CoE in exciting fast bowling development program – Watch | Cricket News

The BCCI Centre of Excellence released a video featuring an intensive fast bowling development camp, bringing together some of the country’s most promising pace prospects. Fourteen Targeted bowlers from the program, along with eight from the Under-19 group, participated in the initiative, which has become a key part of Indian cricket’s player development pathway in recent years. The program was designed to cover multiple aspects of a fast bowler’s growth. Apart from fitness testing and physical evaluations, the players underwent sessions that focused on refining their bowling techniques and strengthening tactical awareness. Overseeing the camp was Troy Cooley, the Fast Bowling Coach at the BCCI Centre of Excellence. Under his guidance, the bowlers received individual feedback while working through skill-based drills and game-scenario training, ensuring they are better prepared for the season ahead, as per a post made by BCCI on its official X handle. A video shared by the body also offered a glimpse into the camp’s activities. It showed the young quicks going through strength and conditioning routines, various bowling exercises, and high-intensity nets sessions, all closely monitored by the coaching staff. The initiative reflects the board’s ongoing investment in nurturing fast bowling talent. India’s pace resources have become an integral part of its success across formats, and programs like these aim to ensure the depth of that pool continues to grow.
